Accessible ADU in Pleasanton

How do you build an ADU into the back corner of a sloped property with an accessible entrance level and back patio? Very skillfully.

 

This accessible ADU was designed to match and complement the main house. We matched the exterior stucco, roof and brick wainscot of the main home.   Inside, we lowered cabinets and built indentations to allow for wheelchair access.  The upper cabinets have pull down storage so they are easier to reach. 

 

We installed plenty of grab bars in the oversized bathroom and shower.  We finished this accessible ADU with an exterior deck overlooking the hills.
